SESSION DESCRIPTION
What happens after the cure? Twenty-five years after a successful bone marrow transplant, Chris Lundy brings a unique perspective to a candid and interactive discussion about the emotional, social, and identity related costs of curative treatment. Together, participants will explore difficult questions about belonging, whether there is space within chronic illness communities for those who have been healed, and whether unspoken hierarchies and classism exist within the sickle cell community itself.
